It is said that variety is the spice of life.
Inspired by this quote, Daniel Botha Blaauwklippen’s Barouche restaurant executive chef and his team has cooked up exciting themed menus that will spice up any winter mealtime.

“Until the end of September the restaurant will roll out exciting monthly themes. The A la carte menu will focus exclusively on the themed dishes, and the end of every theme, we will host a signature evening, showcasing the best dishes of that particular month.” said executive chef, Daniel Botha.

These Signature Dinners will include live music, wine and a five course meal at R350.00 per person.

“Both the themed menus and the wines chosen to complement each dish, demonstrate how thoughtfully Barouche continues to innovate. This keeps the restaurant buzzing with patrons, even in these challenging economic circumstances.” added Botha.

* May and June will be dedicated to the aromatic world of spices, with the Signature Dinner taking place on the 29th of May 2009.

* July will pay tribute to all things French in celebration of Bastille Day, with a French inspired menu for the Signature Dinner accompanied by French accordion music, taking place on the 24th of July 2009.

* August is dedicated to the food of Latin America with a Signature Dinner with Argentinean Tango music taking place on the evening of the 28th of August 2009.

The Month of September is heritage month. Local is “lekker” and a South African inspired menu will be accompanied by “sakkie-sakkie” music for the Signature Dinner taking place on the 25th of September 2009.
