We have engaged some of the finest experts in their respective fields and combining this with carefully selected meals from our famous Tables Restaurant, we have created an evening's entertainment we are sure you will enjoy with us around the fire in the cellar restaurant.
We are proud to advise that the evening will be hosted by South Africa’s
leading expert on brandy – PIETMAN RETIEF. He is a former Chairman and a director of the South African Brandy Foundation, a former Chairman of the Wine Tourism Steering Committee and a founder member of the Western Cape Brandy Route, so it is indeed a privilege for us to be able to have him join us on the evening.
The format for the evening is that we will be tasting a variety of probably 5 brandies (of varying ages) with a full explanation from PIETMAN on the differences between them. In addition we will be providing a specially selected 3 course meal of traditional South African dishes and ending with coffee.
A 50% DEPOSIT WILL ENSURE YOUR BOOKING IS CONFIRMED!
Participation in the evening as well as the full meal and all tasting brandy
will cost R130 per person.

19h00 Arrival at Oude Libertas - Brandy Cocktail will be served.
19h30 Evening commences with the Brandy Tasting Experience
20h30 Main Course served - A carefully selected combination of local dishes comprising either of Nettle Soup or Mushroom Soup, followed by a choice of one of Chicken Pie, Waterblommetjie Breedie or Lamb Curry
21h15 Dessert – Brandy Tart or Fruit Salad & Cinnamon Ice Cream
21h30 Guests interact with Pietman Retief whilst coffee is served.
