October is one of the most beautiful months in the Cape - perfect for a relaxed morning hike, mountain views and Muratie wines. Hikers are welcomed at Dirtopia Trail Centre on Muratie Wine Estate, with a mimosa!

From there, follow the marked hiking trail through the forest to the lookout point on Simonsberg. The complete route includes approximately 200 wooden steps and varied terrain.

It is a climb, but there is no rush. At the top, settle in and enjoy the views towards Table Mountain while tasting four Muratie wines: Rosé, Laurens Campher Chenin Blanc, Blended Red and Merlot.
