Experience the Swellendam Wine Stroll, a celebration of fine wines, local art, and cultural heritage in historic Swellendam, South Africa. 24 - 25 April 2027.

200 Wines. 2 Days. One Unforgettable Experience.

Step into historic Swellendam, South Africa’s third-oldest town, for an extraordinary wine stroll through the Drostdy Museum’s historic Magistrate’s Court garden, Old Gaol and Mayville Rose Garden. Discover premium local produce, boutique shopping and exceptional wines from some of South Africa’s finest boutique and artisan producers, all set against the town’s unique heritage and timeless charm.

The main event is a wine stroll along Swellengrebel Street, featuring a high-class market, boutique shops, pop-up art galleries and 45 exceptional South African wine producers, exhibiting over two days, with a particular focus on boutique and artisan wineries.

Celebrating low-yield, high-quality viticulture, every bottle poured tells a story of passion, terroir and craftsmanship. The event offers wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs a rare opportunity to engage directly with the people behind the wines and discover the stories that make each wine unique.

A selection of exciting side events - including wine pairings, live music, themed dinners and other wine-related experiences.

All of this takes place within one beautifully curated venue, where you can stroll from one experience to the next, wine glass in hand.
