Four remarkable young South African singers will enchant the dinner guests with songs/arias from four countries in Europe - paired with the cuisine of those countries, prepared by the excellent chefs of "The Forum". Diemersfontein Wines will contribute wines for the evening

The event is hosted by The Excellence out of Africa Trust ( the passion project of David and Susan Sonnenberg, founders of Diemersfontein Wine Estate in Wellington). The Trust raises funds to assist young singers to achieve their career objectives through master classes, travel bursaries to attend auditions and study subsidies.
Our singers are:
- Yolisa Ngwexana (Soprano) From Khayalitsha. Graduate of University of the North, and a diploma from the Guildhall School of Music London. Building her career in Europe and South Africa
- Temba Mdladlose (Baritone) from Eswatini Third year Student University of Cape Town Opera School. Several operatic Roles for Opera UCT
- Zintle Soga (soprano) freelance in Johannesburg. Performing Arts Degree from Tshwane University of Technology
- Nkosana Mabasa (tenor) from Soweto Third year student in Vocal studies at Tshwane University of Technology
Dinner Menu:
On arrival
Slow roasted red pepper and tomato arancini ball with basil aioli
Antipasto
Homemade rosemary and sea salt focaccia with herbed garden herb butter
Caprese salad- marinated heirloom tomatoes, buffalo bocconcini balls and fresh basil
Entree
Prawn bisque shots served with garlic and chive grissini stick
Hauptgericht
Sauerbraten- slow cooked marinated Osso Bucco served with creamy mustard mash, red cabbage, fine beans and apple hash. Topped with spiced beer gravy
Dezert
Czechian honey cake served with vanilla mousse, blueberries and gratinated figs
