Babylonstoren is home to some of the rarest cycads on earth, including the likes of the Wood's cycad or Encephalartos woodii. Join us in the garden for a stroll among the living dinosaurs of the plant world, guided by Babylonstoren’s cycad expert Basie Dreyer. Wear your sunhat and comfy walking shoes for this one as we’ll explore the Babylonstoren cycad collection on foot, and get some interesting background on South Africa’s unique cycad species.
Basie will share his tips on the propagation of the plants, pollen collection and handling. You’ll also have the opportunity to pick his brain during and pose your most burning cycad-related questions.
