Nothing beats a slice of homemade bread, lathered with butter and with a smear of seasonal preserve. Join us as we celebrate the bounty of winter in the Soetmelksvlei kitchen by making our own seasonal marmalade, to serve with fresh bread and butter.
Following a short ride along the picturesque slopes of Simonsberg, we’ll descend towards the historical farmyard of Soetmelksvlei, which represents a time when life was simpler, and craftsmanship was treasured. Here, farm foodie Louzel Steyn will teach guests the basics of making your own marmalade, as well as baking bread.
After a hands-on morning, we’ll enjoy a hearty lunch at the Old Stables Restaurant before heading back to Babylonstoren.
The cost is R1500 per person and only 10 places are available.
Please meet us at the Babylonstoren ticket office at 08h30.
Lunch at the Old Stables Restaurant is included.
