Wine Award Programmes have long been the source of much friction between producers, marketers, and retailers in wine industries. Historically, these debates have unfortunately been limited to opinion and anecdote, with very little intellectual rigour. Excitingly though, the last few years have brought to us a number of supremely insightful scientific studies and market surveys on the topic, carried out both in South Africa and abroad.
To drive the conversation forward, Vinimark has assembled a panel of experts in the disciplines of consumer behaviour, retail, marketing and economics to give producers concrete data on the value (or lack of value) offered by wine awards in their various guises.
Our panel
