We are excited to introduce the very first Vine To Hop Trail Run. Our talented trail developers have decided to create epic new routes that venture off the beaten track to take participants right through the heart of Darling's Winelands and straight to the beer.
Enjoy the beautiful, unspoiled areas around our little hamlet in the scenic Swartland, and join us this year to run these beautiful and otherwise inaccessible Darling routes in your own time and at your own pace!
Location:
Vine to Hop Trail Run will start at Groote Post Winery for all 3 race categories. The 21km and 14km will finish at Darling Brew, 48 Caledon Street, Darling, Western Cape, South Africa. The 7km will finish at Groote Post Winery.
Start Times:
21km - 06:45 | R375 (early-bird R320)
14km - 07:00 | R275 (early-bird R230)
7km - 07:15 | R150 (early-bird R125)
Logistics:
Due to the concept of starting at Groote Post Winery and ending at Darling Brew, the following will apply to all runners:
Everyone will be required to meet at Groote Post Winery.
21km runners - The start will be based at Groote Post Winery and end at Darling Brew Tasteroom in Darling.
14km runners - The runners will be transported to their own separate start as they will also finish at Darling Brew Tasteroom in Darling.
7km runners - The start and finish will both take place at Groote Post Winery.
Transport:
PLEASE NOTE: There will be shuttles available for the 21km and 14km runners that will take the runners back to Groote Post Winery from Darling Brew once they have finished. Please purchase your ride back to Groote Post via Entry Ninja at an additional R40.00 per person. If you are planning to come with family/friends who can fetch you at Darling Brew or you would like to arrange your own transport, then you do not have to purchase a ride back to Groote Post.

After the race:
All runners will receive a race pack at the start of the day and when you’ve completed your epic race you will receive a post-run finisher’s beer (non-alcoholic options available), our official #VTH2022 glass, and a Vine To Hop Trail medal. The Darling Brew Tasteroom will be open and mobile coffee, beer, and food vendors will be on hand for quick and easy access. Bookings at the restaurant are advised and can be done on our Tasteroom page. Prizes will be handed over on Race Day! Accommodation and other restaurants in Darling can be found on Hello Darling!
