First you’ll get to meet the farm’s herd of water buffalos that produce the milk we use to make our traditional style buffalo mozzarella cheese. In the fully equipped Cheese Room, Alta will demonstrate the craft behind this creamy delicacy – from cutting the curds to stretching it into balls.
An introduction and tasting of specialities such as our ricotta and halloumi will follow. Finally, guests are invited to a hands-on experience of making Buffalo mozzarella before being treated to a lunch of cheese, meats and preserves, fresh from the Babylonstoren deli store – the perfect end to a cheesy day!
