There will be a hive of activity over this weekend, which falls right in the middle of apple blossom time. The idea is for visitors to explore the area on their own and stop in at some of The Elgin Blossom Weekend partners for spring blossom themed activities, meals, tastings and more.
Visitors are invited to a weekend of wonderful adventures. Come and explore the outdoors with orchard and vineyard walks, organic veggie garden tours, fynbos walking trails, outdoor yoga sessions, river barge cruises and a one of a kind B-Active Amazing Race running throughout the weekend.
Selected Elgin Blossom Weekend participants will be serving spring blossom lunches and picnics and offering honey tastings, craft beer brewing demonstrations, and fermentation workshops. All of the Valley’s restaurants and wine farms will be open for tastings.
For the kids, there is no shortage of fun-filled activities, from family fun runs to tractor rides, mini-boeresport, kite flying, ketty shooting, and jumping castles!
The Elgin Blossom Weekend is perfect for day-trippers as well as for those who want to make a weekend of it and stay for longer at one of the many sought-after establishments. From farm stays to guest houses, bike hotels to manor houses – the Elgin Valley is waiting to welcome you.
