Visit Grande Roche Hotel on Saturday 7 December from 11:00 to 17:00 to taste over 50 wines that received awards at the Michelangelo International Wine and Spirits Awards, the International Wine & Spirit Competition, the Veritas Awards, the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show and Platter’s Wine Guide.
The beautiful Grande Roche Hotel, a historical monument turned into a 5-star luxury hotel, is the ideal setting for award-winning winemakers and passionate wine enthusiasts to meet and mingle. The hotel has been a landmark tourism destination for decades combining elegant opulence with a working wine farm.
The revamp included the opening of the restaurant Viande under the patronage of by celebrity chef and culinary consultant Pete Goffe-Wood. Viande is the simple translation for meat in French and indicates the culinary direction of the restaurant. The restaurant will be responsible for creating delicious canapés, a selection of handmade dainty morsels using local and sustainable produce, that will be served during the event.
Tickets are available online from Quicket at R400 per person.
Tickets will also be sold at the door for R450 per person.
This includes a complimentary wine glass, a tasting of all the wines showcased and a selection of gourmet canapés.
