The day-long festivities begin with a special private performance from the band, Bottomless Coffee, on the lush lawns in front of the original manor house dating back to 1694. This is the perfect opportunity toenjoy your favourite Ken Forrester wines in a walk-around tasting, allowing the good times to flow with great music, marvellous company and even better wines. From then on, guests will be seated at the long table and a seasonally-inspired family-style luncheon will be served with a range of Ken Forrester wines to enjoyall afternoon.
Throughout the 25-Year Celebrations Ken Forrester has hosted several tasting events to raise awareness and funding for Spark School in Lynedoch, an educational institution committed to providing top-class education to the children of the winelands, and a cause truly close to Ken’s heart. “Out of these 25 events we are looking to create a bursary fund that will see underprivileged children getting a first class education that would lead to university”, says Ken Forrester. “The Long Table Lunch promises to be a truly memorable day, and all for a good cause too”, he continues.
The Long Table Lunch will kick off at 11h00 on Saturday 16th November until 16h00. Tickets cost R795 per person and include live music, the walk-around tasting, a family-style luncheon and Ken Forrester wines for the afternoon.
