Our winemaker Jan van Rooyen and Tasting Room Manager Ella Grimston worked with Macaron fundi, Cake Buddies to create four very specifically -flavoured Macarons to pair with four of Avontuur’s wines. After some tweaking, the team is happy with the pairings and keen to share it with fans.
The tasting room is open daily from 08h30-17h00 during the week and from 09h00-16h00 on weekends and you’re welcome to join us for this once-off pairing. It is essential that you book ahead though – to ensure we’re ready for your arrival.
The cost is R120 per person and bookings can be made with Ella or Moerieda at +27.218553450 or winery@avontuurestate.co.za.
If Macarons are not your thing, the normal speciality pairings (Sweet Treats & Wine or Biltong & Wine) is going ahead too. Those don’t need any pre-booking!
