Dawie Snyman, former Springbok rugby player, who will join the evening as master of ceremonies, represented the South African rugby team between 1971 until 1977. He was both selector and coach at the University of Stellenbosch from 1975 up until 1996 and coached the WP rugby team during the 5 golden years, winning the Currie Cup in 5 consecutive years.
The cellar master and general manager at Longridge Wine Estate, Jasper Raats, is also a Grey College Old Boy and will host the evening at the estate’s restaurant. “It’s an honour to welcome rugby legend Dawie Snyman to Longridge Wine Estate and we’re excited to share an evening of rugby talk, fine wines and food with everyone,” says Raats.
The evening will consist of a three course meal, prepared by Chef Maritz Jacobs, and paired with exclusively selected and elegantly crafted wines of Longridge Wine Estate.
