Workshop: Waterwise gardening

In this workshop, we’ll share waterwise tips to help make gardening easier and friendlier to local wildlife, by using less water. Learn about South Africa’s indigenous vegetation under the guidance of top botanist Ernst van Jaarsveld. We start the day with a walk, inspecting different mulches and waterwise plants used at Babylonstoren. In the garden lecture room, Ernst will give an illustrated talk. You will also have the chance to bounce the best plant choices for your garden off him. In the afternoon, we’ll propagate easy-to-grow waterwise plants from seed and cuttings to take home. Lunch will be served at the Greenhouse Restaurant and is included in the price.
