Nestled beneath Lion’s Head and surrounded by ocean views, the President Hotel, Cape Town, and executive chef, Philip Alcock invites food and wine lovers on a sophisticated culinary journey with a five-course dinner masterfully paired with a selection of distinguished wine estates.

On 16 August, Philip’s prepared dishes will feature robust flavours of seasonally sourced ingredients each created to enhance the exceptional qualities of Rupert and Rothschild Vignerons wines.

From 19:00, guests can tuck into a wholesome menu starting with Barons de Rothschild champagne brut NV, followed by Rupert and Rothschild Chardonnay, edmond and classique, which will be paired by the estate’s Chief Winemaker, Yvonne Lester, with modern classics including fresh oysters, beetroot and citrus cured salmon gravadlax, a cucumber and mint granite palate cleanser, smoked loin of springbok, and bitter chocolate and blueberry cheesecake, all for R325 per person.
