Tchaikovsky Symphony, No. 1 in G minor, “Winter Dreams”
Russian rising star violinist Erzhan Kulibiev will present his interpretation of the melodic Glazunov Violin Concerto and also the romantic Poéme by Chausson. Kulibiev, a student of Pierre Amoyal at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, saw his chamber music CD win a Gramophone best album award last December. He will be accompanied by the CPO and Martin Panteleev, former chief conductor of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, who will then direct the First Symphony by Tchaikovsky, known as “Winter Dreams”.
