Neethlingshof Wine Estate in Stellenbosch invites you to join us on Women's Day, 9 August, for an art and wine event at the tasting centre.
Expect coffee and tea on arrival, a demo by the artist, painting for 2 hours, a tasting of our Short Story collection wines, and a glass of newly released Neethlingshof Cap Classique with a cheese platter for one.
Marrianna Booyens is the artist who will guide you through this journey. She will be teaching you through a demo so you can see how she would approach a still life painting.
Learn about colours, composition, and using 3 tones to bring objects to life . And have fun along the way!

"This is an invitation to come and slow down a bit, to engage all your senses and experience a unique table, laid out as a still life that an artist would love to paint. Think of cobalt blues and deep oranges, the sunny yellow of a lemon, the taste and smell of good bread, cheeses and butter… and of course, some really good wine. Add into this a creative mix of learning to express what inspires you, whether novice or advanced. To paint or portray even a little part of a beautiful still life can be a rewarding, exhilarating, and intriguing affair.
