This year the Agulhas Wine Triangle Festival takes place on Saturday, 30th of October, at Lomond wine farm near Gansbaai.
Experience the finest wines, meet the winemakers and discover rare and undiscovered treasures, whilst having a relaxing day on a beautiful wine farm in a unique wine region.The Agulhas Wine Triangle Festival is a festival for every wine lover, from novice to sommelier – an event not to be missed.
The Agulhas Wine Triangle Festival showcases 8 of the region’s wine brands: Black Oystercatcher Wines, The Giant Periwinkle, Ghost Corner, Land’s End and Strandveld Vineyards from the Elim wine ward, Sijnn Wines from Malgas, Lomond Wines from Cape Agulhas, and Bruce Jack Wines from Napier.
Guests will enjoy tastings of the finest wines members have to offer in a safe, well-spaced, walkaround tasting area, and get the opportunity to chat to the makers about their unique creations and latest vintages. The wines will pair perfectly with locally sourced cheese and charcuterie platters.
The AWT Wine Shop will offer visitors wine and local produce to take home to remember their day.
A series of themed masterclasses will be presented by André Morgenthal, and the AWT member winemakers.
Wine Walk: 10h00 to 12h00
Kick off the festival with a 5km walk in the vineyards stopping at different wine tasting stations along the way.
The Art of Blending: 11h45 to 13h00
Try your hand at blending white and red wines made by AWT members.
Regional Tasting: 14h30 to 16h00
Discover why the wines from Africa’s southernmost vineyards are unique during a tutored, regional comparative tasting.

Entrance fee is R180 per person, including a crystal glass and walkaround tasting.
Masterclasses are available for R80 per person, per session.
