The first Woodstock Wine Festival brings around 30 independent, small-batch wine producers to the heart of Cape Town’s creative district. It’s a day for the curious, intentional drinker: a chance to meet the people who make the wine and discover wines crafted on their own terms.
Every producer was chosen with intent, not just signed up. Each one is an independent winemaker who makes wine in small batches and pours it themselves. These include Angus Paul, Arno Smith, Black Water, Blacksmith, Crate Work, Fledge & Co, Hazon Wines, House of Hier, Intellego, Karoo Hoogland, Le Lit de Franken, Lowerland, Lubanzi, Lucky You, McFlarlane, Minimalist Wines, Natte Valleij, Paulus Wine Co, Pilgrim, Pounding Grape, Sakkie Mouton, Samesyn, Sieraad, Stony Brook, Swanepoel, The Last Arrow, Thor Vintners, Viento, Von Family Wines, Wightman & Sons
The walk-around tasting runs across two separately ticketed sessions. Small producers have limited stock to pour, so splitting the day keeps the space uncrowded and means every guest gets to try all the wines. There’s room to move and time to talk to the makers, without the queues. The vibe is relaxed and social: great wine in good company.
Beyond the walk-around tasting, we’re hosting two intimate masterclasses, each going deeper into a single subject. They’re small and seated, and each is an interactive panel discussion led by industry leaders. Each one includes a full tasting, with time to unpack what’s in the glass and ask questions.
Tickets are R295 per person.
