OPERA TRIOS: LOVE TRIANGLE is a semi-staged opera performance, with three highly talented opera singers from Opera UCT accompanied at the piano by renowned Vocal Coach/Collaborative Pianist Dr Lisa Engelbrecht who is also the Musical Director.
The theme interwoven into the eight or nine excerpts from works by Handel, Mozart, Strauss, Gilbert & Sullivan, Bizet and Rossini, is love triangles, trysts and intrigue.
The singers include soprano Mia-Lana Slier, mezzo-soprano Rosa van der Dussen and baritone Themba Mdlalose. This highly entertaining production was premiered at the Suidoosterfees 2026 in Cape Town. The singers are artfully choreographed by Capetonian, Michelle Hough.
