Join us at The Chefs' Table as we explore the story behind one of South Africa’s most celebrated red wine producers. Since Beyers Truter first planted vineyards in Stellenbosch in 1988, Beyerskloof has built an enduring legacy rooted in passion, craftsmanship, and an unwavering dedication to Pinotage – South Africa’s signature variety.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Anri Truter joined the cellar in 2007 and today leads the winemaking team with a focus on precision, consistency, and expressive wines that honour both heritage and innovation. Under his guidance, Beyerskloof continues to showcase the versatility and character of Pinotage, crafting wines that have become synonymous with the brand’s identity.
As a highlight of the evening, we are proud to present the Beyerskloof Diesel Pinotage – Beyerskloof’s flagship wine and a rare inclusion at a pairing event of this kind. Named in tribute to Beyers Truter’s beloved Great Dane, Diesel, this exceptional Pinotage is both powerful and refined, offering depth of flavour, intensity of fruit, and a true expression of its varietal. Its inclusion in the evening’s lineup reflects our commitment to offering an exclusive and elevated experience.
Join us for an unforgettable evening of indulgence and discovery, as chef Mathew Armbruster and sommelier Karl Rohlandt present a thoughtfully curated five-course menu, expertly paired to highlight the depth, nuance, and personality of each wine.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Chefs' Table for this exceptional culinary experience.
