Erinvale Estate Hotel & Spa invites guests to an exclusive winemaker’s evening on Saturday, 18 April at its signature restaurant, Bloom, in collaboration with Boschendal Wine Estate.

Set against the legacy of Boschendal’s remarkable 340-year heritage, this intimate experience brings together expressive wines and a meticulously curated menu, offering a sophisticated journey through South Africa’s rich culinary and viticultural landscape.

Within Bloom’s intimate 30-seat dining room, the experience unfolds in a setting of quiet refinement, where considered design and the estate’s indigenous gardens create a sensory-rich backdrop. Executive Chef Sebastian Smith leads the culinary direction, reinterpreting classic flavours with a contemporary approach that celebrates the depth and diversity of African cuisine. The four-course menu reflects a seamless interplay of seasonality and terroir, with each dish thoughtfully paired to complement Boschendal’s wines.

Guiding the wine experience is Boschendal's acclaimed Cap Classique Winemaker, Danielle Coetsee, a remarkable woman making waves in the wine industry. She will be sharing her inspiring journey in this exclusive and elegant setting. Danielle believes that meticulous attention to detail and a refined palate are the cornerstones of sound winemaking. With a degree in viticulture and oenology and a lifelong passion for wine, she brings a nuanced balance of technical precision and creative expression, playing a pivotal role in crafting the estate's award-winning vintages.

From nostalgic takes on South African classics to contemporary expressions of local ingredients, the menu is both rooted and refined, showcasing the depth and creativity of the country’s culinary landscape.

With limited seating available, the evening promises a not-to-be-missed celebration of flavour, craftsmanship and heritage in one of the Helderberg’s most elegant settings.
