Two-Day Charcoal Workshop with Mariè Stander

Mariè is known for creating portraits with her hands and fingers, her main focus being tonal contrast that creates detail.

Over the course of this two-day workshop, guests will be introduced to the finer art of portraiture, focusing on elements like observation and intuitive drawing. You will be working from a live model and visual imagery, working with charcoal and introducing an element of colour with soft pastel.

Mariè will guide the guests on a one-to-one basis, concentrating on their individual ‘drawing mark’ and working with their strengths and weaknesses in the creative process.

This workshop is suitable for all levels of expertise in portraiture.

Included in the workshop are all the necessary art materials, as well as a pastry break and lunch on both days.
