Harvest is one of the most exciting times on the farm. And, this year, it’s even more meaningful as we celebrate 55 years of Kaapse Vonkel and Cap Classique at Simonsig Family Vineyards.
Join us for an intimate, hands-on harvest experience, stepping behind the scenes to experience harvest as we do: boots on the ground, grapes in hand, and conversations with the people behind the wines.
What you can expect
Your morning begins in the vineyards with a sabrage moment and light breakfast bite, followed by stories and perspectives from cellarmaster Michael Malan and viticulturist Nicole Pelzer.
From there, it’s time to roll up your sleeves – picking grapes, traditional foot stomping, and soaking up the energy of harvest.
The day draws to a close with a relaxed, harvest-style long-table lunch celebrating the season, the land, and the people of Simonsig.
