Food Jams, the one-of-a-kind cooking and connection experience managed by Capetonian cook and saxophonist Jade De Waal and chef Jocelyn Myers-Adams is heading to the Cape Winelands for the very first time. Hosted at the beautiful Allée Bleue Estate on 20 September 2025, this special edition titled "Cook with Roots" promises to be more than just a cooking class; it’s a soulful celebration of South African heritage, flavour, and togetherness.
Founded in Cape Town in 2010, Food Jams reimagines cooking as a shared experience: part cooking class, part dinner party, and part jam session. Much like musicians come together to improvise and create magic on stage, guests gather around the table to chop, stir, season, and laugh their way into a feast. It’s an interactive experience where food becomes the instrument and the connection to the melody.
Now, for the first time, this celebrated concept takes centre stage at a wine estate, offering guests the chance to roll up their sleeves and cook with indigenous, seasonal South African ingredients, while surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Allée Bleue.
