The Rhône Valley, stretching from the Swiss Alps to the Mediterranean, is a region of breathtaking landscapes and rich history. Known for its world-renowned wines, the valley is divided into northern and southern sections, each boasting distinct terroirs and grape varieties. In the north, Syrah reigns supreme, crafting bold, structured reds, while the south is famed for blends featuring Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah, with Châteauneuf-du-Pape standing as a prestigious symbol of the region’s winemaking excellence.
Christo Deyzel, Vergelegen's resident sommelier, will explore the Rhone region in this tasting. It will include a fantastic line up of 7 wines showcasing the region’s style and grape varieties. Wines from JL Chave, St. Cosme, Chapoutier, and Allain Graillot will be tasted among other producers.
Arrival time is from 17h30, tasting starts at 18h00 sharp in our wine tasting room.
