Held over the Freedom Day long weekend, the Plett Wine and Bubbly Festival 2025 will be a lively celebration of the South African wine scene’s best-kept secret. The sophisticated two-day event will bring together serious collectors and casual connoisseurs, as well as the winemakers, viticulturists and farm managers who guide the process from grape to glass, all gathering together to toast the good life.
Stretching from Harkerville to The Crags, the Plett Wine Route is one of the smallest and most dynamic wine production regions in South Africa. At its heart are a handful of small, privately-owned wine farms crafting exceptional still and sparkling wines from the cool-climate varietals that thrive here. Plett’s warm summers and mild, dry winters produce mouthwatering harvests of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir. They are all considered the area’s signature vines.
Tickets cost R350 per person and are available through Quicket.
