The Trophy Wine Show brought to you by Investec will once again be hosting wine enthusiasts in Cape Town at the all-popular single-night “Hot-off-the-Press” Great Tasting on Tuesday, 10 June from 17h00 to 21h00 (No first entry after 20h30).
Expect around 150 award-winning wines (scoring 90 points and above) selected by international and local wine professionals using the Show’s rigorous blind tasting methodology.
You will also enjoy First Dibs to purchase these winners through specialist wine retailer, Port2Port. The line-up on the night comprises the most distinguished wines (trophy, gold and silver medal winners) from the 2025 Trophy Wine Show chaired by SA wine authority, Michael Fridjhon.
Highlights at The Great Tasting include the Best White and Best Red Wines of Show, the International Judges' trophy winner, Best Premium Wine (highest score to price ratio), the Discovery of the Show (best value wine) and the wines of the inaugural Investec Champion Winemaker of the Year.
In addition to the overall category winners there will be a host of best-in-class wines covering the most popular varieties and blends, winners of museum class accolades (at least four years old for white wines, eight years for red and sparkling) and wines which represent exceptional drinking value. The competition’s blind tasting methodology ensures that every year there are new discoveries, unknown wines of great quality identified by the Show’s judges from the line-ups which appear on their tasting benches.
Tickets cost R275 each per single entry. Tickets are limited and include the sampling of all wines and the tasting glass to take home.
