With more Chenin Blanc being planted in South Africa than the rest of the world combined, Chenin blanc holds a special place in the South African Winelands.
To celebrate International Chenin Blanc Day and honour this legacy variety, we have collaborated with SALT to bring a unique pairing to the palates of our guests. This pairing aims to showcase the different vintages of our Waterford Old Vine Project Chenin Blanc and the intricate flavours that pair with them.

Our Chenin Blanc grapes are sourced from old vines in Stellenbosch, planted in 1966. The wine is certified and part of the Old Vine Project which aims to preserve older, less productive vines by showcasing the quality of wines they can produce. Berry bunches are hand-harvested and pressed directly to concrete eggs for natural fermentation. This allows the wine to remain vibrant and truly express its distinctiveness. Extended lees contact adds luxuriousness, by adding texture and mouthfeel.
