Mushroom-lovers and nature enthusiasts will this year once again have the opportunity to experience a weekend dedicated to foraging for wild mushrooms in the forests of Delheim Wine Estate and experiencing various culinary delights accompanied by the estate’s award-winning wines.
Each of the two days’ Delheim Magical Mushroom Days programme comprises a practical guide to mushroom identification followed by a foraging session in the Delheim woods. The day ends with a three-course lunch at the Delheim Garden Restaurant which includes tasty mushroom-related options, with plenty of opportunities for tasting and enjoying the estate’s range of exceptional wines.
The schedule for both mushroom days – 14 and 15 June – on Delheim is as follows:
09h00 - 09h30 - Arrival with coffee, gluhwein, muffins and rusks
09h30 - 11h15 - Mushroom identification by Gary Goldman
11h15 - 11h30 - Mushroom soup served after introduction
11h15 - 13h00 - Walk and foraging
13h00 - 15h00 - Three-course lunch at Delheim Restaurant, wine tasting included
Tickets for each of the two days’ programme are R1 000. These are available on Quicket and are not refundable. Please note that spaces are limited to 40 persons per day.
