Guests will be invited to follow the Babylonstoren spice trail and get first-hand info on growing your own turmeric and ginger from our tunnel-growing master, Elzé Bresler. Spices like these are best harvested in winter when the plants are dormant, and their superpowers are preserved in the roots.
The class culminates in a hands-on foodie experience where we’ll use various spices to create a proudly South African classic. The day concludes with a hearty, belly-warming meal inside the exotic Spice House.
Steaming coffee from the Lekker Room is served upon arrival.
