Kids, grow your own succulents from scratch at Babylonstoren on 9 July presented by ou resident succulent expert Cornell Beukes.

Note: Children must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum two children per adult. Adults need to book a space for themselves as well.

Cultivate a love for all things green and growing with the little ones during the school holidays. In this hands-on family workshop, we’ll explore the world of ox tongue, horse teeth, vetmensies, kransklokkies and other weirdly wonderful succulents of the South African arid areas.

Resident succulent expert Cornell Beukes will take us on a stroll through the garden to the Succulent House where he’ll share his insights on the propagation of succulents and make cuttings. We’ll explore how to plant and successfully grow succulents, including their soil and watering needs. We’ll also share fascinating stories about these quirky plants and why they have such interesting names.

The cost is R450 per person and only 20 places are available.

Please meet us at the Farm Shop at 10h00.

Juice and gelato are included.
