The Vaal Wine Route proudly presents a day of superb Wine Tasting along the banks of the Vaal River in Gauteng. We are proud to present top South African Wine Estates that will be showcasing Top South African wines at the 22nd Vaal Wine Expo.
Swirl, sniff and sip great SA wines while cruising down Millionaires Mile on a luxury cruiser in Gauteng! Once again, the Vaal River Meander Wine and Spirit Expo is being hosted jointly by Stonehaven on Vaal on the banks of the Vaal River in Gauteng.
There is a pleasant walkway along the river bank between the two venues where you can enjoy meandering freely between all the different wine tasting stalls from one venue to the other, with only the ducks on the river to bother you!
Tickets
Tickets cost R300 per person, which includes:
- A branded tasting glass to use and take home.
- Unlimited tastings of over 200 different wines.
- A 30 minute Vaal River Cruise voucher OR a R50 food voucher to use on the day
- Access to food stalls, kiddies play area, restaurant & bar.
- NO tickets available on the day.
- Kids and designated drivers allowed free entry.
Lots to see and do!
- Vaal River cruises will run the entire afternoon and departs from the Stonehaven pier. Use your complimentary Vaal Wine Expo voucher for a FREE 30 minute river cruise on the day (or use the same voucher for a R50 meal instead). Kids and designated drivers can buy cruise tickets at R50.00 at the Expo Ticket Desks.
- Food stalls to compliment your wine tasting experience. Use your complimentary Vaal Wine Expo Voucher for a R50 meal at the food stalls (or use the same Vaal Wine Expo Voucher for a 30 minute river cruise).
- Free Kiddies Play area is available outside the Stonehaven restaurant area. Kiddies can accompany adults on the river cruises too – tickets are R50 p/p and are available at the Ticket Counters.
- Taljaard Taxis will be posted at the parking area for those who need a lift home for themselves and their car – find out more about their Buddy Service where their driver will drive your car home for you.
