The night begins at 19h00 with canapés and sparkling bubbly, setting the tone for an enchanting hour-long performance by Carol Thorns.
Carol is South Africa’s leading electric cellist, renowned for worldwide performances, including opening for Vanessa Mae and sharing a stage with John Legend. Her solo album Fireflies in the Rain was nominated for a South African Music Award for Best Instrumental Album, and her solo show Red Cello Electrified received high praise at the world’s largest arts festival, The Edinburgh Fringe.
From 21h00, Newton will set the celebratory tone as we count down to midnight, blending soulful vocals, guitar, and violin with a mix of covers and originals – the perfect festive soundtrack to welcome 2026 in style.
