Nederburg's hosting a festive Easter weekend experience designed for families, friends and everyone in between from 3-6 April 2026.

From Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April 2026, we’re opening our gardens and table for a festive Easter Weekend experience designed for families, friends and everyone in between.

Whether you’re joining us for a relaxed lunch, a stroll through the gardens, or a little Easter magic for the kids, we’d love to make Nederburg part of your holiday.

Easter egg hunts for young explorers

Easter wouldn’t be complete without an egg hunt, and ours takes place in the heart of the Nederburg gardens every morning at 11h00 throughout the long weekend.

Our Easter Egg Hunt invites little explorers to search for five hidden carrots, which they can exchange for a special kiddies Easter surprise hamper at the end. It’s a gentle, joyful activity that lets children enjoy the outdoors while parents relax nearby.

  • Cost: R250 per child
  • Pre-booking via Dineplan is essential to secure your spot

Easter feasting at The Manor

Heritage Farm Easter Feast

Food is at the heart of Easter, and our Heritage Farm Easter Feast brings seasonal flavours and comforting classics together in a relaxed, shared setting.

Our Easter weekend menu is available throughout the long weekend:

  • 2 courses at R380
  • 3 courses at R465, including a complimentary glass of the Anchorman Old Vine Chenin Blanc

Starters

Choose from:

  • A Hot Cross Bun Board with toasted buns, farm butter, apricot jam, gypsy ham and mature cheddar
  • Smoked venison carpaccio with rosé-poached stone fruit, berry dressing, rocket and Parmesan
  • Harissa-grilled baby carrots with hummus, crunchy roast lentils and baby leaves

Mains

Comforting, seasonal dishes made for lingering lunches:

  • Grilled line fish with lemon butter sauce, parsley baby potatoes and roasted vegetables
  • Slow-roast rosemary leg of lamb with beetroot salad, pumpkin fritters, roast potatoes and red wine jus
  • Spinach, mushroom and feta phyllo pie (vegetarian), served with roast potatoes, pumpkin fritters and green beans

Dessert

Because Easter always makes room for dessert:

  • Easter carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, homemade ice cream and berry coulis
  • Chocolate Black Forest Easter pavlova with whipped cream, cherry compote and dark chocolate ganache
  • Vanilla cheesecake with salted caramel, pretzel and caramel popcorn crunch

Platters designed for sharing

If your Easter plans lean more towards grazing and sharing, our platters are ideal for relaxed afternoons at the table:

  • Manor Platter – a generous spread of sirloin steak, bitterballen, sweetcorn fritters, buffalo wings, biltong, hand-cut chips and more
  • Cheese Board – local cheeses with classic accompaniments
  • Harvest Platter – a mix of cheeses, cured meats and seasonal extras

Perfect for larger groups or easy-going lunches that stretch into the afternoon.

Picnics on the lawns

If your ideal Easter includes a blanket under ancient oaks and unhurried bites with a view, our signature Nederburg picnic is just the thing. Thoughtfully curated baskets showcase seasonal, locally sourced treats – available in classic, vegetarian and kid-friendly options – and come with all the essentials for relaxed al-fresco dining on The Manor lawns. Picnics can be booked 24 hours in advance; reserve via Dineplan Families (and dogs on leash) are warmly welcomed, with a spacious play area and lawn games to keep little ones happy while grown-ups unwind over a glass from our celebrated wine range.

Whether you’re planning a family outing, a leisurely lunch with friends, or a special Easter tradition, Nederburg offers space to relax, reconnect and enjoy the season together.

Bookings are recommended via Dineplan, especially over the long weekend. We look forward to welcoming you to Nederburg this Easter.
