Losing margin on your wine sales? Cut out the middle man by leveraging your direct-to-customer sales avenues.

After launching one of the most successful online shops and wine clubs in the country, Gosia Young presents this 3-hour masterclass that provides real-time recommendations and examples drawing from her expertise as a wine marketing consultant.

In this day and age, no one will blame you if you find yourself feeling a little overwhelmed when it comes to the wine industry. With the economy in the tank, the drought causing havoc and profit margins becoming detrimentally small, things can become a little despondent at times. This is also the time when selling your wines direct-to-customer becomes most valuable. However, this is easier said than done, and it is at this point in the story that Gosia enters.

Following her Masters in Media at UCT, Gosia delved (head first) into the barrel of the wine world, furthering her education with a Masters in Wine Business acquired at the Burgundy School of Business in Dijon, as well as going on to gain her WSET 2 accreditation and completing the Michael Fridjhon Wine Judging Academy. After completing 3 years working alongside marketing dynamo Charles Back at Fairview, where she created and headed up the online and wine club portfolio of the company that grew to be one of the most successful in the country, she decided to start her own wine marketing consultancy. In her spare time, she is an avid wine writer, and her co-owned blog titled ‘Glou Glou’ has recently entered into a content partnership with premium online wine retailer, Port2Port.

When it comes to her work, Gosia’s goal is simple: to help the wine industry leverage what they already have to sell more wine. In association with Jordan Wine Estate, and for the first time ever, Gosia Young will be presenting a 3 hour Master Class tackling topics such as the do’s and don’ts of Online Shops, Wine Clubs 2.0 and community building, database harvesting and analytics and the importance of content creation, as well recommendations for wine farms on a budget and what to do first.

This once-off event will include tea and lunch presented by The Bakery at Jordan, and is aimed at owners and marketing managers of wine farms or businesses that want to increase their market share by tackling the lowest hanging grapes first, Gosia philosophy of working smart will ensure you walk away with tips and tricks to take forward. ‘Taking Wine Online’ will take place on Tuesday 2nd July between 9am - 12pm at the Jordan Chameleon Conference Centre. Tea and lunch included.
