Restaurants and wineries from the region will set up shop alongside artisanal cheese and chocolate stands, amongst the exquisite sculptures. Sample delicious food from some of Franschhoek’s restaurants, whilst creating the perfect culinary pairing from the region’s Vignerons to complete your sensory experience. Visitors to the fair can expect to find some ‘old favourites’, such as Fromages des France, the Werf Restaurant, Boschendal, the Kitchen at Holden Manz, Franschhoek Cellar, Holden Manz Wine Estate, La Motte and Black Elephant Vintners. A few new exciting offerings, such as Rupert & Rothschild, are guaranteed to add extra flair to the day’s festivities.
The 2019 Winter Sculpture Fair is open from 10am to 5pm daily on both days. Tickets cost R240 per adult (R220 per person for the Early Bird special) and children under 12 pay R40 to enter. The Nirox Foundation Sculpture Park is situated on 15 hectares of landscaped gardens and waterways within an extensive private nature reserve in the heart of the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site.
