By involving a number of wine farms into the race, each day offers something different, from the highest peaks to the lowest valley floors.
Featuring some of the gnarliest single-track in the country, the Gravel & Grape 3-day and 2-day Extreme are events that takes mountain biking back to its roots. With challenging technical riding, the Extreme is best suited for riders with a sense of adventure and a well-stocked arsenal of rock-hopping, berm-bending, switchback-sizzling talent.
The Gravel & Grape Adventure race follows the same trails as the Gravel & Grape Extreme, but the days and distances are shorter. There is still ample opportunity to enjoy a good variety of single-track, climbs and jeep track.
Gravel & Grape 3 day MTB Extreme:
- 03 to 05 May 2019
- Day 1: Breede river: 69km and 1 250m climbing
- Day 2: Rawsonville: 68km and 1 100m climbing
- Day 3: Slanghoek: 50km and 1 100m climbing
- Target: the experience and skilled MTB’er
- Entry fee*: R5 800 per team (2 riders)
Gravel & Grape 2 day MTB Extreme:
- 04 to 05 May 2019
- Day 1: Rawsonville: 68km and 1 100m climbing
- Day 2: Slanghoek: 50km and 1 100m climbing
- Target: the experience and skilled MTB’er

Gravel & Grape 2 day MTB Adventure:

- Day 1: Rawsonville: 35km and 350m climbing
- Day 2: Slanghoek: 30 km and 640m climbing
- Target: Solo riders, juniors and intermediate MTB’er
- Entry fee*: Open team: R3 300 (2 riders) and Solo: R1 875
